Why We Started
Anyone who knows me will tell you — I absolutely adore my cats and have done since I was five years old. In return, they tolerate me…as long as their needs are met!
Keeping my cats happy and healthy has always been important to me. Over time, I noticed they often left food around the edges of their bowls, convinced it was empty—a frustrating phenomenon I call ‘empty-bowl-itis.’ I constantly found myself scraping food back to the centre or throwing it away, wasting expensive premium cat food.
What truly caught my attention was when a vet visit revealed that both of my cats had developed chin acne from eating out of plastic bowls. Later, another vet visit confirmed that one of my cats was suffering from whisker fatigue. That constant pacing in front of the food bowl? It wasn’t fussiness—it was discomfort.
Determined to find a solution, I searched for a high-quality cat dish. Instead, I found bowls made from cheap, toxic plastics, while the few glass options available were hard to find and overpriced. So, I set out to create something better—a safer, smarter alternative.

During my research, I also discovered that cats see the blue-violet hue most clearly, and studies show it has a calming effect on them. This enhances the dining experience, making mealtime more comfortable—so that’s the colour I chose.
After years of research and countless design trials, The Ultimate Cat Dish was born—a stylish, durable, and non-toxic dish that promotes feline well-being and reduces food waste.
